Acid Sulfate Soil testing & management

Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS) are a serious environmental and structural risk in coastal and low-lying Queensland. Many development sites require a formal ASS assessment as a condition of Development Approval — and getting it wrong can trigger costly remediation and project delays.

ASCT provides the full ASS scope: site sampling, NATA lab testing, risk classification, and complete ASS Management Plans that satisfy council and DESI requirements.

1

Site Investigation & Sampling

Borehole drilling and soil sampling with field screening using hydrogen peroxide tests to identify ASS presence.

2

NATA Laboratory Analysis

Chromium reducible sulfur (CRS), pH testing, and net acid generation (NAG) analysis in our accredited labs.

3

Risk Classification Report

Formal classification of Actual ASS (AASS) and Potential ASS (PASS) risk levels to Queensland state planning requirements.

4

ASS Management Plan

A complete management plan detailing treatment, neutralisation, and soil handling procedures — DA-submission ready.

From a single residential lot to a 10,000-lot master-planned estate, our capacity and commitment to quality remain the same.
